The festival “on the Edge”, which became traditional, will be held on Sakhalin island for the sixth time. The competition will be presented 15 films shot by Directors from Germany, Georgia, Russia, Austria, Israel, Iran and other countries of the world. Will open the festival with a new film directed by Paul Verhoeven – “She”.

The jury of the festival “on the Edge” in this year included: actress Makiko Watanabe, Director Alexander Kott, Director Isabelle Stever, Director and playwright Irakli Kvirikadze and producer, General Director of the Union of cinematographers of Beijing Yan Yu. Heads this all-star team directed by Krzysztof Zanussi.
This time the audience will be presented to 15 non-competitive programs in selected films from 34 countries. All guests of “on the Edge” will be able to participate in discussions, presentations, master classes.
