On Saturday, August 27, in a huge cinema tent on the Sparrow hills will be held the opening of one of the most important shows of the year of Russian cinema – national film festival “Will to live”. In the competition program includes more than 150 new domestic cinema. The film festival runs until 2 September.

The start of the festival “Let’s live” will be held in the Russian movie Night in the tent next to the viewing platform of Sparrow hills. The opening film will be a short romance, Kirill Pletnev, “Mother”, in which the main role was played by one of the most popular Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova. Svetlana played the role of the mother 14-year-old girl, who believes their parents, grandparents, and real mother – older sister.

The competition program starts on August 28 – it will open the picture “I tolerate you” Sergey Aksenov. This year the competition program of the festival includes not only short films but also feature films, documentary and animation. The festival is timed to the Day of Russian cinema and the celebration of the city Day of Moscow, and the film will be screened at leading cinemas of Moscow (Dom Kino, a network of cinemas “Moscow cinema”), parks, recreation center and libraries.

In the competition program of documentary films included 14 films shot in 2015-2016 documentary program will be held in the cinema “Star”. In the competition program of short film screenings which will take place in the cinema tent on the Sparrow hills, consisted of 35 films by students and graduates of VGIK, Higher courses of scriptwriters and film Directors, Spbgukit, Academy N. With. Mikhalkov and other Universities. For the first time in the framework of the competition program of short films will be presented online series. This is a new genre to the film festival, as organizers hope, will be favourably received by the public. Award-winning films of the festival will continue to participate in special non-profit programs of the festival “We live!” in Russia and abroad.
