The festival “on the Edge” this year will be held for the sixth time – it will open a new film directed by Paul Verhoeven, “She”, and a film-closing of the show will be a ribbon-winner. In the main competition of the “on the Edge” will show 15 films from Russia, Austria, Germany, Georgia, Israel, Iran and other countries. The winners will determine jointly the audience and the jury, which this year included actress Makiko Watanabe, Director Alexander Kott, Director Isabelle Stever, Director and playwright Irakli Kvirikadze and producer, General Director of the Union of cinematographers of Beijing Yan Yu. The jury is headed by the show Director Krzysztof Zanussi.
“On the edge”-2016: what to watch at the Sakhalin international film festival
This year the Sakhalin international film festival will introduce viewers to 15 non-competitive programs, which will be shown paintings from 34 countries.
