One of the largest American Telecom companies AT&T announced the purchase of the media holding Time Warner, which owns CNN and HBO and Warner Bros studios.
The decision to purchase was made at the meeting of company executives on Saturday, however, the transaction still required the approval of regulators.

AT&T will pay for each share of Time Warner at 107,5 dollars. The total transaction is estimated at over 108.7 billion, of which $85.4 billion – the cost of buying the company, and the remaining part debt Time Warner, which will cover AT&T.
Earlier media reported that the purchase of Time Warner was conceived by Apple. In the summer of 2014, the company Time Warner for $80 billion wanted to buy 21st Century Fox, owned by media Mogul Rupert Murdoch.
