This conclusion of scientists based on the results of a new study with the participation of 7 thousand people with nicotine addiction. 4 thousand of these volunteers suffered from lung cancer. Examining the correlation, the specialists eventually concluded: there is little that causes as much harm to the body as a cigarette, smoked half an hour after awakening.

Scientists say that Smoking in the morning on an empty stomach increases the risk of developing cancer of the head, neck and lungs. “The results we see that the risk of developing cancer by 80-percent increase in those who smokes a cigarette immediately after waking up”, – quotes the researchers press.

Experts note that many people underestimate the seriousness of Smoking as a causal factor in the emergence of cancer. According to them, 90% of cases of lung cancer are associated with nicotine addiction and from no other cause.

Getting rid of such habits as Smoking, the best thing you can do to maintain their health, experts believe.
