Pictures timed to the anniversary of the flood in Tbilisi.
To the anniversary of the flooding in Tbilisi Ukrainian artist and photographer Sergey Polyakov has published a series of pictures devoted to the tragic events of 2015.
The floods were flooded homes and buildings, damaged roads, infrastructure, escaped from the zoo dozens of wild animals. The epicenter of the flooding was adjacent to Yerevan zoo territory in the valley of the Vere river, which overflowed due to heavy rains.
“About a year ago I took these pictures in Mziuri Park in Tbilisi. It struck me then how selflessly fought, in the literal sense of the word, the consequences of the disaster Georgian boys and girls, restoring the Park after the devastating floods. I am sure that their act deserves to be an example of attitude to their city, country and in Ukraine.
One more thing I would like to emphasize in this situation is the age of the guys that worked in the Park. In the bulk, all of them in the region of 20 – 25 years. Many of my interlocutors in Tbilisi told me that this is the generation, maturation and formation of life values which were in the period of reforms of Georgia, associated with the Saakashvili presidency.
