As in previous years, the contest was held in YouTube: a huge number of submissions were assessed by all interested users. A variety of works: fiction, documentary, animation cinema, video clips. The main conditions – duration less than 20 minutes and the willingness of the authors to place their work in open access. The results of the contest became known on 1 August, but the winners will take place only now, at the festival “Window to Europe”.

The competition of two types of prizes. The first results of the audience voting. The second is the work of a jury. The films were evaluated , Directors Tatiana and Marina Moskowy (winners of last year’s competition “Window to the Internet”); Director Rustam Ilyasov and film critic Andrew the Apostles.

“Window to the Internet” – an online contest for short films up to 20 minutes, carried out by the organizing Committee of the festival of Russian cinema “Window to Europe” for the fourth time. The organizing Committee received more than 200 applications, were selected to participate 114 feature films, 13 documentaries, 31 animated and 22 of the clip: a total of 180 works. The competition was attended by professional filmmakers and Amateurs from 48 cities, towns and villages of the Moscow, Leningrad, Kaluga, Yaroslavl, Vologda, Tula, Ryazan, Kirov, Voronezh, Saratov, Volgograd, Samara, Rostov, Kemerovo, Murmansk, Perm, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen, Orenburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Sakhalin oblasts; Stavropol, Krasnoyarsk, Altai, Khabarovsk, Primorye territories; Udmurt Republic, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Crimea. Traditionally, the contest is attended by the authors from Vyborg, which for more than twenty years takes place the film festival “Window to Europe”.
The jury received animated film “Beard” of Sofia Badalova and feature film “the Awakening” Konstantin Tishchenko. The latter is notable in that it was played by Vladimir Vdovichenkov. His hero is a lawyer, who had just knocked on the car young man.

The winner, and deservedly, the jury called wonderful Wykowsky work “the American dream” Andrew Anagnina. Very precisely chosen hero is a young American who decided to take up farming in Russia. But even more accurately revealed this character that even adults colleagues of the Director is not always possible. The guy managed to create and save their economy, but the price he paid considerable. The blood run from his story – the fantasy of easy draws scenes from a horror movie, and this feeling is reinforced by the fact that the hero, as befits an American, says it all with a smile.
