The Ukrainian foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainians to travel to Libya

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine urges Ukrainians to refrain from traveling to Libya to stabilize the security situation. This is stated in the press service of the Ukrainian foreign Ministry.

Also the foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainians, who are in Libya to immediately leave the area.

“In connection with the continuing exacerbation of the security situation in Libya, which is accompanied by increased activity on the territory of this country of terrorist groups, and numerous facts of kidnapping, including of foreigners, the foreign Ministry once again urges the Ukrainian citizens to refrain from trips to Libya”, — stated in the message.

The Ministry stressed that failure threatens the personal safety of citizens in regard to the inability of Libyan authorities to guarantee security and the rule of law throughout the country.

“Pay attention to those citizens who remain in Libya, that the current policy and the internal political situation in the country significantly limits the ability of consular response for the protection of our compatriots”, — said the foreign Ministry.
