The European Union is going through a difficult period. First financial, then migration crises have shaken the faith of many in the EU. As the newspaper Dagens Nyheter, most Swedes are pessimistic about the future of the community.
According to the survey conducted by the sociological service of Ipsos, 51 percent of respondents believe that the development of the EU goes in the wrong direction. Their discontent has two main causes: in the EU the issues of the migration crisis, and that too much power was handed from the member countries of the Union bureaucrats in Brussels.
Nevertheless, 81 percent of respondents said that in 10 years the EU will still exist. 19 percent believe that it will remain in its current form, 62 percent is what will change.
In addition, three-quarters of Swedes believe that a British exit from the EU would have negative consequences for the entire Union. As the analyst of the center David Alin, there could be a Domino effect and other countries will follow the example of the United Kingdom. 56 percent of respondents believe that this decision, London will suffer, and the interests of Sweden.
