U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry and Russian President Vladimir Putin in the evening of 14 July, held a three-hour meeting in Moscow.

Kerry expressed concern about the repeated violations of the agreement on cessation of hostilities of the Syrian regime. The parties also discussed the need to increase pressure on the terrorist group ISIL and the branch of “al-Qaeda” in Syria “Jabhat al-Nusra”.
“Secretary Kerry noted that do not contain concrete, short-term measures, diplomatic efforts can’t continue indefinitely,” – said in the message. He intends to present initiatives on the conflict settlement at a meeting with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday.
Speaking about Ukraine, Kerry urged to accelerate negotiations on implementation of the Minsk agreements, particularly points concerning the ceasefire.
