The Soviet people is radically different from Russian?

Чем советский человек отличается в корне от российского?

The one who got a good Soviet education, of course, different from the modern educationists with breadth of vision, logic, competent Russian speech, convincing arguments.

Even detractors of the Soviet system, even those who call themselves anti-Soviet, in General, superior to their brothers in mind the younger generation of those above mentioned qualities. All the same, the main difference is not in education, not in age, but different: we, the people of the Soviet type – other mentality.

But what is it formed? Propaganda and agitation? No, Soviet propaganda at times we were sick…

Better education, far more available culture, well-developed, not present in the sample, science? Again, no. Rather, all this partly influenced our worldview, sometimes even significantly, but still that is beside the point. There was something even more important…

To understand what I’m talking about, imagine that you go to Moscow, Nametkina street, famous for the fact that it is the head office of Gazprom. Any thoughts at the sight of this wonderful building will visit you spontaneously? Think about these: “Here they are, thieves! From, creature!.. Getting fat, and the people they care… so they – money!.. And who works there? Other people and close not to approach – not what to work for him to get! And on the threshold is not allowed!” Well, and so on, in the same spirit.

The leitmotif of all these thoughts is that you and Gazprom – two different planets on non-intersecting orbits. And together not to meet you ever. Although, as we all know, Gazprom is a state structure, that is, such that its status should be available to all citizens without exception. The same applies to Rosneft, and by the authority of Mr. Chubais, and many others, not to mention tax authorities, the Federal migration service, interior Ministry and others. However, everyone knows that without a special invitation there better not to meddle.

The police Department in one persistent attempt to say Hello to duty can throw in a cage – there is already such experience… Between us and them once casually there was “a huge distance”. And over time it only increases. For many, the most prestigious, desirable and financially profitable was the work of the state bodies. That is sort of a paradox: people who have Russian citizenship, citizens of the state seek to… the state! Not in private business and in government agencies.

The “second rate citizens” wishing to become “first – class” – the rush to civil servants who have more do not serve, do not serve the people, and soar high above it! If the idea is clear, you can go to my main idea. It is very simple and lies in the fact that in the USSR no one to become public servants is not particularly sought! Just because we were all civil servants! Sellers, road workers, policemen, drivers, engineers, scientists, Soviet and party workers – we were all government! One United and indivisible! Between us was the gap that has arisen there.

The distance between those and the other was, of course – but it was a normal hierarchical distance, normal for any team where there are bosses and subordinates. But they both lived on the same planet! I well remember how in Soviet period I had no time to knock at the doors of high offices, and on official business, and personal. Some issues were resolved immediately, others with difficulty; but all the problems I could easily discuss at any level. Chairman of Perm city Council, when I visited him, offered me tea and crackers. In Leningrad, a high official asked me to smoke in his office and kindly pushed the ashtray…

Again, sometimes different: the issues were solved when fast when slow. Correctly or not – but always hesitated. And without money. We were all part of one whole, though I hardly thought about it. But today reasons to think about this more than enough. And though the ubiquitous redneck quickly wrote prigovoru “General – so a draw!” we in those days somehow subconsciously understood that common – so its, ours! We all do our own lives to the extent which is permissible in society.

That there may be insurmountable distance between us and the government, which we all served. And this sense of unity with your big country did our horizon so, what is not in present-day Russia of the era of capitalism. This feeling has created our mentality, a sense of confidence and peace of mind for the future. The mentality of the host country and their own destiny. Not in the sense that I will want give teeth to the party Secretary, pulled his guard, traffic COP, and me is for nothing.

And that I will want will go without a bribe to any UNIVERSITY, I made no connections at least to the plant Director, at least until the General!

Of course, the pull was – but not in the first place, as it is now, but perhaps in the tenth. And Tupolev, Korolev and Gagarin, and the Antonov singer, and writer Rasputin, and directed by Gaidai, and actor Nikulin their peaks reached not to pull – but with his talent and work. What now, alas, is no longer observed.

And not army, although it was unusually strong, not a strong Central government, and it is our mentality that has made our country unconquerable. Already anticipating a sarcastic objections: what are you so broke? Why not defend the Soviet Union? Why go on about false propaganda degenerate rulers? The answer is again simple: because we were part of the state, used to trust him.

And this credulity has played with us a cruel joke. Have peredavalos. Have perinatales. The reverse side of the great faith in the government that cannot fail. And it is in the face to break up rogue, a thief can trust and let us down, and failed.

And I want to believe that the conclusions are made.

And the future government and the future people, breaking all of the current perversion, will find each other finally.
