Only in the Haukadalur valley is located about forty hot springs.
Located in the South of Iceland, the valley of Haukadalur (Haukadalur Valley is one of the most famous places in Iceland.
The valley is part of the popular in this country a tourist route “Golden ring”, visiting the natural and historical attractions of Iceland.
Haukadalur geothermal valley. There are more than 30 hot springs, among which the most famous geysers Geysir, or Great Geysir and Strokkur. The great Geyser is able to throw boiling water to a height of 60 meters, but it happens meperidine – several times a day. At the same time, Strokkur, though, and rises no higher than 30 meters, does this regularly every 5-10 minutes.
In addition to these two geysers in the Haukadalur valley attracted the attention of sky-blue lake Blaisy and one of the most beautiful in Iceland, waterfalls, Gullfoss.
