The Persian helmet (“HUD” or “kolah-khud) and shield

This magnificent shield and “kolah-khud” was established about 1840, during the reign of the Qajar dynasty.

They are forged from steel, decorated with gold and excellent chasing. The cartouches contain images of birds and animals, as well as poetic stanzas.
The total height of the helmet (“kolah-khud) with Aventail: 61 cm
Diameter of shield: 40 cm
