The international swimming Federation refused Efimova Amnesty

The international swimming Federation (FINA) rejected the request of the Russians Yulia Efimova on early withdrawal of provisional suspension from competition. About TASS reported to the Executive Director Cornel Marculescu.

“The case Efimova is currently considering anti-doping Committee of the organization. Request for early cancellation of the temporary suspension of the athletes was rejected by the Committee. Therefore, the decision to dismiss Efimova remains in force until the meeting,” said Marculescu, without specifying the date.

Yefimova asked to admit her to the competition on April 15.

Two days earlier, World anti-doping Agency (WADA) reported that less than one microgram has been prohibited since 1 January of Meldonium in the doping test of the athlete, rented till March 1, 2016, is a valid indicator. After that, several Russians were acquitted of the charges.

Efimova was among several dozen Russian athletes found to use of Meldonium. She faces a lifetime ban, as in may 2014 a swimmer was suspended from competition for one year and four months because of doping.

At the 2012 Olympic games in London Efimova won the bronze medal. Also in its asset four gold medals at the world Championships.
