Egypt may lose the main attraction. According to the newspaper The Daily Mail, the terrorist group “Islamic state” released a video which threatens to blow up the Great pyramids of Giza, as previously did with the temple in honor of the deity NABU in the Iraqi city of Nimrud.
The IG believes that all of the ‘infidels’ buildings should be destroyed, and monuments, listed as world heritage by UNESCO, become its priority objectives. So a 2500 year old temple of NABU was blown up last spring. The terrorists looted the museums in the Syrian Palmyra, damaging a lot of ancient buildings.
Periodically the IG threatens to destroy and other important facilities worldwide. So, earlier, the Islamists spread the video, in which stated about the intention to blow up the Eiffel tower.
