The first pictures of the updated interior Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes-Benz has started the final testing a restyled version of the flagship sedan S-Class. Photospin managed to shoot the car with virtually no camouflage. Public premiere of the car will be held early next year. It is not excluded that the novelty will be shown at the Detroit auto show, or motor show in Geneva.

Judging by the spy photos, the cabin of the sedan will install a new steering wheel, redesigned center console with new touch panel controller, as well as other infotainment system. In addition, the car will be equipped with modified bumpers, new optics and an exhaust system with two tailpipes. Technical specifications are still kept secret. According to unofficial data, the restyled sedan will be equipped with six-cylinder engines, which have previously debuted on the E-Class.

In addition, Mercedes-Benz will feature an updated version of the S-Class system of semi-Autonomous control. For the first time this technology has been applied on the new generation E-Class. It includes several tens of sensors, and sensors that analyze the environment around the car.

The semi-Autonomous control system is able to drive the car at speeds up to 210 km per hour. In this case, the markup for conditional autopilot do not have – the E-Class, for example, can focus on the road without it, but only at speeds not higher than 130 km per hour. Electronics recognizes and records in its memory the other cars, signs, pedestrians, and buildings and structures near the roadway. Mercedes-Benz insist that the driver must in any case keep hands on the wheel.
