The network leaked the first images of the production version of the sedan BMW M5. The images were published by Autocar. The official premiere of the car should take place at the Geneva motor show in March 2017.

The car will be built on a shortened platform of 7-Series. With this car will be 100 kg lighter than the current generation M5. The novelty will feature an updated version of the 4.4-litre petrol V8 engine. The capacity of the unit will be about 625 horsepower. To 100 km the car can accelerate in less than four seconds.
According to preliminary data, the model will get all-wheel drive. As previously reported by representatives of BMW, this company has pushed sales of the competitors – most of the cars passed to the customers with four-wheel drive transmission.
The current generation BMW M5 is sold with a 4.4-liter unit with a capacity of 560 horsepower. From standstill to 100 km/h the car accelerates in 4.3 seconds. M5 can only be purchased with rear-wheel drive.
