Earlier media reported that a number of countries of the European Union is studying the possibility of imposing sanctions against Russia over its actions in Aleppo.
European Parliament President Martin Schulz in an interview with the Italian news Agency ANSA said that Russia plays a key role in solving many issues, so in Moscow it is necessary to avoid the imposition of restrictive measures.
— I understand that the policy pursued by Russia is pushing for tough measures. But at the same time, Moscow has a key role in many issues. So we have to be firm, but at the same time to maintain a dialogue and keep the ability to avoid these measures — said the head of the European Parliament.
