The diplomat responded to the statements of U.S. President Barack Obama, who at the G7 summit in Japan, said that “the nuclear missile program of North Korea is a threat to the region, U.S. and global security, “is an obstacle to creating a world without nuclear weapons”.
Calling such statements “the height of hypocrisy and shamelessness”, the representative of the foreign Ministry noted that Obama “talked about the denuclearization in Japan, which the United States was subjected to the atomic bombing”.
The diplomat also believes that the appeals of the head of the White house towards a world without nuclear weapons, in fact, aims to “weaken the military potential of other countries to strengthen military and nuclear capabilities of the United States”.
