The doctors called the basic rules of protection from cancer

Experts from the world health organization has published 12 items, aimed at preventing cancer.

Doctor Joachim Suez, who led the study, explained: “these are recommendations where you can change your behavior.”

These recommendations:

1. Do not smoke. Do not use any form of tobacco.

2. Make your home free from tobacco smoke. Keep the Smoking ban in the workplace.

3. Take action to maintain a healthy body weight.

4. Be physically active in everyday life. Limit the time you spend sitting.

5. Follow a healthy diet:

– Eat lots of whole grains, legumes, vegetables and fruits.

– Limit consumption of high-calorie foods and avoid sugary drinks.

– Avoid processed meat; limit consumption of red meat and foods high in salt content.

6. If you drink alcohol, limit the amount of consumption. For cancer prevention it is better not to drink at all.

7. Avoid too much sun, especially for children. Use protection from the sun. Do not take sun baths.

8. Protect yourself from carcinogens in the workplace, follow the instructions and safety instructions.

9. Determine if there is in your house of radiation from radon.

10. Breastfeeding reduces the risk of maternal cancer.

11. Make sure that your children participate in programs of vaccination against:

– Hepatitis b (for newborns);

– Human papillomavirus (for girls).

12. Participate in cancer screening programmes from:

– Bowel cancer (men and women);

Breast cancer;

– Cervical cancer.
