National Electric Vehicle has acquired the assets of bankrupt Saab. All rights to the brand and logo belong to other companies. NEVS got the opportunity to produce Saab vehicles without the use of a logo with a Griffin, but lost it after bankruptcy in 2014.

Earlier the company representatives made a statement that he decided to focus on building electric vehicles and the development of new technologies. The first model will be extensively redesigned version of the Saab 9-3 to an electric motor. Production cars will begin in 2017, and the first market for the sale, will be China.

The first all-new car NEVS will appear in 2018. The company has already announced the intention to create four new models (three SUV and ultimately the newest sports), built on the Phoenix platform that Saab was developing prior to his bankruptcy.

“Based on our heritage, we will continue to focus on quality, craftsmanship and dedication in people, but we will add new aspects to our business through partnerships and joint projects. We’ll leave the brand Saab and will move forward with a new face,” said NEVS President Mattias Bergman.
