The Central Bank took control of the “Peresvet”

Центральный Банк взял под контроль "Пересвет"

The Bank of Russia appointed from October 21, temporary administration in the Bank “Peresvet”, reported on Friday on the website of the regulator. The report notes that the interim administration, which will aim to study the financial position of the Bank imposed in connection with satisfaction of claims of creditors on monetary obligations in the terms exceeding seven days since the date of their satisfaction.

About the prospects of “reanimation” of the Bank “Peresvet” says financial analyst Roman Balian:

“The situation around the Bank “Peresvet” continues to evolve as one of the assumed scenarios. The Central Bank imposed temporary administration on the maximum possible period of six months. In the first place, no need to worry for the depositors, who placed in the credit organizations to 1.4 million rubles, they are protected by the Agency on insurance of contributions (ASV). On the other hand, legal entities not sweet, because their funds are not protected by the Deposit insurance Agency. In recognition of the Bank bankruptcy and license withdrawal the funds will be returned only after the implementation of the Bank’s property, unless of course funds will be sufficient for this.
For borrowers, nothing has changed, because the obligation to return the borrowed cash saved, and will be based on details provided by the interim administration.
The procedure is the introduction of the regulator’s interim administration is comparable to the placement of the patient in the intensive care unit. But this does not mean that the patient is out of intensive care.
What’s next? After the introduction of temporary administration should expect either bankruptcy and revocation of the license or the procedure of reorganization or recovery of the patient.”
