This year for participation in festival competition of short films “in Short” was sent over 1400 works from 48 regions of our country and in the international section came applications from 43 countries, including Egypt, Syria, India, Thailand, Iran and other countries in which films are hardly ever on the screens of the Russian cinemas.

In April 2016 in Moscow hosted a presentation of the almanac “Short”, which included the winning films from previous festivals. Almanac was presented not only in Moscow but in the Russian culture festival Feel Russia in Berlin, Vienna, Munich.
The basic competitive program this year will consist of 38 short films. In addition to the basic competition spectators will have several non-competitive programs, including the section “Short, Star”, displaying short films with the participation of Pavel Derevyanko, Anna Mikhalkov, Artur Smolyaninov, and other eminent artists. The jury will be headed by Igor Tolstunov, producer and founder of the Studio “Profit” (the full jury will be announced 1 August).
