Tennis in Ukrainian, Dolgopolov continues to struggle in Madrid, Svitolina crashes

Alexander Dolgopolov in the first round at the masters in Madrid has won strong-willed victory over American Steve Johnson occupying the 32-th row in the ATP ranking. Ukrainian for release in the 1/16 finals had to spend on court for almost two hours.

The first set Dolgopolov lost because of a missed filing in the fourth game. In the second game the Ukrainian immediately took the lead 3:0 and its advantages are not missed. Elina Svitolina failed to take revenge of Daria Gavrilova for the defeat in the Cup of Chapman. The Ukrainian and the third attempt has failed for the first time in his career to get into 1/8 finals at the tournament in Madrid.

In the first set Svitolina twice lost his serve and never get to the break points. During the second game the Ukrainian was leading 2:0, 4:2, but Gavrilova each time returned to the game. On the tie-breaker ex-the Russian again showed their character, yielding 2:4, Daria left behind five straight points.
