System requirements the Oculus Rift reduced

Системные требования Oculus Rift снизилиThe new requirements should make virtual reality cheaper and more accessible.

On the eve of the event, Oculus Connect, in which the Executive Director of Oculus VR Brendan Iribe (Brendan Iribe) said that now your computer can be a little easier if you want to comfortably use a virtual reality helmet Oculus Rift.

As told by the developer, all thanks to technology fantastic name Asynchronous Spacewarp. From now on, your system can operate at 45 fps while the aforementioned technology doubles that number, and fills in the gaps in the helmet. Consequently you no longer need for the Oculus Rift to purchase expensive hardware.

In General, the new minimum requirements are as follows:

● Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 better (instead of NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD 290 and better);
● CPU: Intel i3-6100 / AMD FX4350 and better (instead of Intel i5-4590 and better);
● Internal memory: 8 GB;
● Operating system: Windows 8 and newer (instead of Windows 7 SP1 and later);
● Video output, compatible with HDMI 1.3;
● One USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports (USB 3.0 instead of two).

In addition, Iribe announced that there is a cheaper version of the set of Oculus-Ready. Only for $ 499 U.S. consumers became available PC based on AMD processor from IBM, which supports the Oculus Rift. The very same helmet for 599$, unfortunately, is not cheaper nor on the dollar.
