The publication notes that the Prince who wasn’t even present in the Qatari capital, early in the morning on April 17, called the delegates from their country and told them to go home.

While still on the morning of 17 April, the participants of the summit were convinced that the Saudis are willing to make a deal. A draft agreement was prepared by technocrats in the Arab Kingdom.

Prince Mohammed is one of the most influential politicians among Saudi royals. His position was strengthened after climbing in 2015 on the throne of his father, king Salman. Prince is headed by the Ministry of defence and an economic Council, manages the operations of the army during the war in Yemen and is plans to build a post-oil economy in the country.

According to the newspaper, thanks to the actions of the Prince’s oil policy Saudi Arabia has become significantly more dependent on geopolitical realities, especially competition with Iran, and less directly from oil prices.

Following the meeting in Doha failed to reach agreement on freezing of oil production. These negotiations are expected in June.

The meeting decided not to send representatives of Iran. According to the Minister of oil of Islamic Republic of Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the country is not going to sign a plan to freeze the output, so its “participation in this meeting is not mandatory
