The representatives of the British TV channel Sky News conducted an investigation, which announced the existence of a channel of arms smuggling from Ukraine through Romania to Western Europe and the middle East, RIA Novosti reported.
According to media reports, after several months of hard negotiations, the journalists were able to meet with members of the Romanian group engaged in the arms trade. The criminals said that they will sell ammo to anyone who will be able to pay for them, even terrorists.
The bandits showed reporters different types of weapons, as the thought that those are going to buy it. Media representatives were presented and a semi-automatic sniper rifles, shotguns, hunting rifles and pistols.
“We bring weapons and ammunition from Ukraine. Can deliver as long as necessary”, – said one of traders.
According to the thugs, the weapons are smuggled from Ukraine to Romania and then forward it to another group in Western Europe and the middle East.
Traders also said that they are dealing only with firearms, but they have ties with the gang, which trades heavy weapons, grenades, and mines.
