According to her, the mortgage holders are going to spend the night in the tower, despite the fact that “Bank employees behave aggressively”.
“The borrowing of currency VTB24 has announced a hunger strike, after spending the night on the floor in the Federation tower, awaiting the reaction of the Bank management. Among them are those who have already stayed overnight at the head office of VTB 24 Myasnitskaya ulitsa. We will remind, last time this ended in many hours of detention. Six people are still in the room on the Presnensky in diapers. Security would not let people into the toilet, does not allow sympathetic people to give them water,” — said “Rosbaltu” Vostrikova.
“A week ago, we wrote a letter to the head of VTB Andrey Kostin with a request to meet with the top management of the Bank to resolve the issue with the mortgage. The meeting never took place, as earlier proposed by the Bank’s actions to resolve the issue do not suit us” — reminded Vostrikova, according to RBC.
Meanwhile, as reported a press-service VTB, all currency mortgage borrowers at the meeting with Bank management was proposed to solve the issues individually with the Bank VTB24.
“All currency mortgage borrowers who find themselves in a difficult life situation, informed at the meeting with Bank management was proposed to solve the issues individually with the Bank VTB24. Recall that a currency borrowers have suffered due to the sharp fall of the ruble. They regularly organize protests against the reluctance of banks to transfer their debts in rubles at the old rate. Currency borrowers of the Bank VTB24 addressed to the Prosecutor General and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on the “policy of genocide of families.” They believe the contracts are illegal and demand to convert their debts.
