Shell gets rid of two fields in the Gulf of Mexico

The British-Dutch Royal Dutch Shell sells company EnVen Energy Corporation deposits Glider and Brutus in the Gulf of Mexico in the USA for $425 million

The transaction is expected to close in October. The project comprises an offshore platform, a system of underwater oil production, diverting oil and gas pipelines, reports RIA “Novosti”.

Production from these fields is around 25 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day.

Royal Dutch Shell is engaged in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in more than 40 countries. In February there was a merger with the British BG Group plc.
