Scientists have named an unusual cause of insomnia

People who tend to postpone things for later, more likely to suffer from insomnia, found researchers from the Academic College in tel Aviv.

In their experiment, was attended by about 600 people.

Volunteers filled out an online questionnaire with which the researchers were able to assess their level of procrastination (that is, the tendency to a constant delay important tasks) and emotional state, as well as to determine the presence of sleep problems.
As a result, the researchers found a link between sleep difficulties and procrastination. Apparently, people who have a tendency towards it, prevented to sleep thinking about what they had to do, but didn’t.

While scientists have revealed an interesting detail: the people who hit the hay early and get up early were less inclined to postpone things for later and rarely had trouble sleeping compared to those who went late and get up late.

Previously, scientists from China have identified patients with insomnia changes in the white matter of the brain.
