Samsung has released a limited edition smartphone.
Samsung officially introduced a new smartphone Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition. From the title it is clear that the device launch is timed for the upcoming Summer Olympic games, which will be held from 5 to 21 August in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
In the phone’s design used the traditional Olympic colors. As you can see, most of the phone is black, but there are yellow accents on the front, red and green on the sides, and blue on the back. Also on the back side there is the Olympic emblem – five interlocking rings.
As regards the technical characteristics, the “Olympic” version of the Galaxy S7 is no different from the original model. Differences only in design and software. The smartphone will ship with special pre-installed application Rio 2016, which offers a special section with a schedule of competitions, data about sports facilities, competition results, winners list and updates in real time.
In addition there will be special Wallpapers and some UI elements will be themed for the Olympic games colours (home and lock screen, messages, dial, contacts, and notifications).
Every athlete who will participate in the Olympic games in Rio will get a Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition, as well as a pair of wireless headphones IconX.
It should be noted that for simple users of the phone will be released in a limited edition of only 2016 pieces. It will be available for purchase starting July 18, in some countries, including the USA, Brazil, China, Germany and Korea. Prices yet to be announced.
