Russian relay swimmers finished fourth at the Games

In Rio de Janeiro ended the second day of competition of summer Olympic games. Like the day before it ended in the swimming pool. In the 4x100m relay freestyle at men the victory was celebrated by Americans, the Russian team only on the fourth place.

In the final swim in our foursome was attended by Andrey Grechin, Alexander Popkov, Vladimir Morozov and Alexander Sukhorukov. They showed a 3 min. time of 11.64 seconds. losing to teams USA, France and Australia. The Americans have shown time 3 minutes of 9.92 seconds.

A few minutes earlier in the pool held two world records. Briton Adam Peaty has won a distance of 100 m breaststroke with the result 57,13 sec. beating his own highest achievement. Second here was the representative of South Africa Cameron van den Burgh (58,69 sec.) Tretiak – American Cody Miller (58,87 sec.).

In the men’s 400 m freestyle women have won the American Katie Ledecky with the result 3 minutes 56,46 sec. The winners in this discipline were the British Jasmine Carlin (4.01 23), and another U.S. representative Lea Smith (4.01,92).
