Российская юстиция при смерти? Правосудия в России больше нет?

Russian justice in death? Justice in Russia is no more? These are the questions arise in me when I look out of my Kiev far on shaped mess almost every day in the Russian courts and law enforcement — if so can they still call the authorities.

Frankly, I have a feeling that many people living in Russia, or, as they say, is eyes have grown accustomed, whether senses completely dulled – so sluggish they react to it all. And I look and I cannot find other words: vile, disgusting, filth, idiocy, abuse of common sense, a mockery of the basic ideas about good and evil. Absurdity, nonsense, disgrace.

How was it possible to send to two months in jail Ruslan Sokolovsky, a young man from Ekaterinburg, who caught the pokemon in the Church?! To laugh and forget. Well, to scold a little at the thing before most normal people would seem, at most, a manifestation of bad parenting or lack of sense of proportion – and that is debatable.

However, Ruslan was arrested on charges of “inciting hatred or hostility, and humiliation of human dignity” and also in “violation of the right to freedom of conscience and religion, committed in places specially designed for worship, other religious rites and ceremonies” (so called article of the criminal code, which charged).

Although at the moment Sokolowski with the help of his smartphone had been hunting virtual cartoon characters, hunting, which this summer was sick the whole world, no one present in the temple clearly did not feel neither humiliated nor insulted.

This is clearly seen on the video that Sokolowski posted on the Internet. It is evident that he goes to Church, buried in your gadget, and others do not pay any attention to him. It is seen that in the time of the shooting in the temple were no ceremonies, rituals or worship.

Court was never presented with a humiliated or insulted witness. And when the court decisions on the measure of restraint has long turned into a formality in the Russian judicial practice? Some measures will require a consequence that the court will provide.

However, it is clear why and for what Ruslan Sokolovsky sent to jail. Hunting for pokemon in the temple – only a pretext. Sokolovsky – popular videobloger. He has more than 270 thousand subscribers. Ruslan admits that he is an atheist, criticizes the Church and protest against prenucleation in the Russian political and public life.
It is against the law?

I always thought that the Russian Constitution guarantees all citizens the right not only to religious freedom but also the right not to profess any religion, right to freedom of conscience – including the right, coupled with the right to freedom of expression, to be an open atheist and publicly defend atheistic beliefs, to criticize the work of the Church as a social institution. Isn’t it?

It turns out that Sokolovsky was persecuted as a civil activist and political writer.

Go further: how can a normal person lifting the arm on the Beslan mothers in the day of remembrance of their children who died in the storming of the school — whatever slogans they write on shirts?! What moral freak you have to be?!

And he was to write: “Thank you, Vladimir Vladimirovich, for the happy childhood of our boys and girls”? Or: “hail Putin the Savior of Beslan”?

And how can the Commissioner for human rights Moskalkova, a woman, in the end, even the General of militia (or police?), to argue that “the act of Beslan mothers is wrong from the point of view of morality, of morals, and to reproach them for “unlawful actions in respect of the head of state”?!

So, it turns out, the criticism against President Putin not allowed? It — how? Prohibited by law? Ay, comrade General, are you serious?

However, comrade General others are not waiting…

And another episode of everyday life of the Russian, I may say, of justice, which has made me a serious impression.

The Supreme court of Russia – mind you, not district court in Yekaterinburg or the district court in Beslan, and the highest court of the country – adopted this week an unprecedented decision. He dismissed the appeal of Denis Luzgina from Perm, modest user network “Vkontakte”, was sentenced in June to serious penalty in 200 thousand rubles – not much — justification of Nazism.

“Justification” was that Luzgin on the page I quoted an article that, in General, it was spoken about the obvious historical fact: in 1939, “the Communists and Germany jointly invaded Poland, unleashing the Second world war, that is communism and Nazism worked honestly”.

In vain the protection of Luzgina, headed by the Patriarch of the Russian lawyers Henry Reznik argued that to accept the complicity of Stalin in the capture and division of Poland by Hitler in September 1939 in no way mean to justify Nazism.

In vain they showed the court excerpts from the long been included in the pedagogical circulation of school textbooks and children’s encyclopedias, which tells about the secret Appendix to the Molotov—Ribbentrop Pact joint Nazi-Soviet parade in Brest in 1939 and other well-known facts of cooperation of Nazi Germany and the Stalinist Soviet Union on the eve and during the first period of the second world war.

The Supreme court ignored all this.

There is already no words, only begs unprintable expressions, variations on the theme of “little furry animal”. It’s called arrived.

Begins revision – in the courts! — the truth about the country’s history, the hard-won in the years of Gorbachev’s perestroika and Yeltsin’s reforms.

And the point here is, ultimately, not in history.

It’s hard not to recall that after the war a new round of Stalinist repression began with things seemingly far from politics — top spacing of the Leningrad literary journals, Ahmatovoyi, of course, the “wrong” films and operas, “anti-Patriotic-minded theater critics”, “weismannist-morganists” in genetics and other “rootless cosmopolitans”. Do I need to remind how it turned out then? And it all could end if the “effective management”, in rank of which is now erected the Generalissimo, would not have given the ends?

History repeats itself?

I’m afraid this is only the beginning. It only gets worse. Believe me. From afar, from outside, know better.
