The energy Ministry of Russia has received the invitation of Qatar for a meeting of oil-producing countries in Doha on April 17. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the representative office.
“Got the invitation, we are planning to participate,” — said the Agency interlocutor.
17 April in the Qatari capital Doha, is scheduled to meet members of OPEC and Russia, dedicated to the freezing of oil production. All 13 members of the cartel received an invitation to negotiate. The Secretary General of OPEC Abdullah al-Badri said that not all the invited members of the cartel will be able to participate directly in the negotiations. Al-Badri noted that he did not know, there is a meeting of Iran. The representative of Saudi Arabia, in turn, said that the Kingdom would freeze oil production without coordinating with Tehran.
February 16, Russia and several OPEC members (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Venezuela) agreed to freeze oil production in order to support the quotation, subsided for a year and a half by 70 percent.
