Russia is ready to hold dialogue with any candidate for the office of President of the United States, if the parties manifest the intention to cooperate. This was reported to journalists the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, commenting on statements by the Republican candidate Donald trump about his possible visit to Russia.
“Russia is seeking good relations, looking for interaction, cooperation, and, accordingly, in Moscow, ready to respond positively to any attempts to conduct a dialogue“, – said Peskov.
In this case,”the United States will get a painful response to further increase of anti-Russian sanctions“, – said Russian Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, answering questions of deputies of the state Duma.
Ryabkov introduced in the state Duma the bill on the suspension agreement with the US on plutonium disposition.
“If the United States contrary to common sense and experience (quite painful even for myself) still go the way of further expansion of sanctions measures, I assure you, in our Arsenal there are steps that you will respond quite painful,” he said, answering a question about the “mirrored” and “unmirrored” responses to US policy.
The Deputy Minister also pointed to the fact that assumptions about the lack of effectiveness of Russia’s retaliatory measures against the United States are incorrect.

He expressed the opinion that the United States will not meet the requirements of Russia for its return to the agreement on the disposal of excess weapons-grade plutonium. The actions of the US and its European allies “gave Moscow a reason to come to the conclusion that in order for the suspension of the agreement it is possible to apply article 62 of the Vienna Convention”.
