Russia is not opposed to the “Norman format” attracted US, but to work with them in parallel. This position of Russia was expressed by President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Valdai discussion club in Sochi.
So, Putin noted that Russia is not against to bring in the Normandy format other countries, including the United States. However, all participants of the “Normandy format” agreed on that with the partners from USA will work in parallel.
“Do I need to involve someone else? The Russian position is this: we are not against to attract anyone, including our American partners. But agreed thus with all participants in this process that we with the American colleagues will work in parallel,” – said the head of the Russian Federation.
Meanwhile, Putin added that the discussions are difficult and inefficient, but there is no other way.
Recall now the “Normandy format” is a diplomatic group of high-ranking representatives of four countries – Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France.
