The sports car was designed at the Moscow University named after Bauman, and the presentation was held in Simferopol, hence the name of the Roadster – “Crimea”.
The price will range from 900 to 650-700 thousand rubles, it will depend on the demand for cars. Start of production is scheduled for 2018, and the first instance is already submitted to the inhabitants of the Peninsula.
The basis of design is space frame, welded from tubes. External panels are made of composite materials.
“Crimea” uses a 1.6-liter, 106-horsepower gasoline engine VAZ-21127. The front panel and some other interior elements are also taken from Lada Kalina. The Roadster has a mid-engine layout and rear-wheel drive. It weighs about 700 pounds
