Co-owner of “RussNeft” and founder of the Bin group Mikhail Gutseriev in 2014 are insured against a drop in oil prices, resulting in earned hundreds of millions of dollars. It is reported Reuters with reference to sources in the banking and oil sectors.

“Gutseriev was a large debt to Sberbank, head of Sberbank] Herman Gref advised him to insure by the beginning of 2015”, — said a source in the industry familiar with the deal. The businessman had no choice, says the Agency, because the savings Bank was his largest creditor.

First Deputy Chairman of Sberbank Maxim Poletaev confirmed to the Agency that the transaction between the Bank and Gutseriev was made in 2014. According to him, the credit institution shortly thereafter sold the contract to the foreign banking syndicate.
