Retest doping samples: the IOC will announce the names of violators

The international Olympic Committee (IOC) will name the names of the 98 athletes in doping trials which with the Olympics in 2008 and 2012 after the second wave rechecking revealed a banned substance. However, the names of the offenders will be named until after the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, said the portal Insidethegames.

Meanwhile, it became known that the final decision about the participation of members of the Russian team at the Games in Rio will be made on 5 August. On the results of the second wave of band doping samples from the Games of 2008 and 2012, the IOC announced on July 22. A total of prohibited substances detected in samples of 45 athletes: 30 2008 Games and 15 of the 2012 Games. 23 a positive result occurred in the sample of winners of the Games. The names of offenders are not yet named.

“The issue of sanctions to athletes will be discussed later. Now our goal is to prevent involved to the Games in Rio,” said the press Secretary of the IOC mark Adams.
