The amount of the Russian contribution to PACE costs is up to € 2.5 million. About it in interview RSN has informed the head of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Alexei Pushkov.
He said that Russia lists 32 million euros as a contribution to the Council of Europe. The main part of this amount is spent on a joint programme signed between the government of the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe, while spending on PACE to be only 2.5 million.
Pushkov said that the fee can be paid tranche.
“As far as I know, the first tranche was disbursed with a delay of several months. Thus, we have shown their attitude to the atmosphere that prevailed in the Council of Europe. But since we are not going to withdraw from the Council of Europe and remain members of the organization, date, money for the participation in the activities of the Council of Europe planned spending in 2016, but the entire tranche has not been translated yet”, — said the head of the Committee.
