The protest was attended by local officials and government representatives
Sunday, September 4, hundreds of people took to the streets of the French capital to call for an end to violence against Asian immigrants, after the beating and death of a dealer from China.
Local officials and representatives of the ruling Socialist party joined the protest, organized by activists committed to fighting racism, and representatives of the Chinese community.
The demonstrators urged the police to provide protection to migrants. The reason for the protest was the death of a Chinese tailor in the last month in the Paris suburb of Aubervilliers after the attempted robbery.
