Product named for reducing the risk of prostate cancer

According to British scientists from the University of Bristol, eating tomatoes can reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer.

The researchers studied the diet and lifestyle of 20 thousand men aged 50 to 69 years. It turned out that men who consumed more than 10 portions of tomatoes per week — such as fresh tomatoes or tomato juice were less at risk of developing prostate cancer by 18%. Also, experts have found that eating the recommended five or more servings of fruit or vegetables a week reduces the risk of prostate cancer by 24%.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide. Each year in the UK are diagnosed more than 35 thousand new cases and about 10 million deaths due to this disease.
