Poorer than under Yeltsin?

Беднее, чем при Ельцине?

Pensions soon, it seems, many Russians would not. And if in 1990-e years, in conditions of galloping inflation and rising unemployment, many families in the country survived due to pay in time grandma’s or grandpa’s pensions, now forced dependants will have to change the model behavior. The Russians should think about the question, and that they will live after 2019, when the economy seems to be as weak as in the last years of Boris Yeltsin’s rule.

Full “Golodets”

In early September, Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets reported that the government actually confiscated for the next three years funded part of pensions of those who had a right to it (born after 1967). Later she said that the contributory pension may be cancelled. What will loose money? Formally, – for the payment of current benefits old-age pension in connection with a shortfall in the pension Fund. But this is only apparent.

In fact from the same deficit budget of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation the state Corporation “rostec”, headed by Sergei Chemezov (an old friend of President Putin), offers to Finance the creation of a technical base to implement a repressive package of Spring”. This set of laws under the pretext of combating terrorism legalized total surveillance state for the Russians. As it turns out, perhaps also for their own account. However, among retirees it is clearly not limited. When zastupnik their pockets will be able to shake every penny, the government apparently intends to take on truckers.

Under the guise of correcting a legal ambiguities that prevent live country partnerships, they will impose a variety of fines and fees that in 2016 only to regional budgets could (if they start to collect right now) to bring in half a trillion roubles. And it is unlikely to cause pleasure in approximately one third of Russians – the lucky owners of country houses. They may even begin to vote “wrong”, trying to show of power, they are offended. Of course, this happens only when they come first penalty, because far into the future Russian voters do not look.

Play against yourself?

On the eve of parliamentary and two years before the presidential election, many may have the impression that the leader of “United Russia”, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and his team are playing against their own party. In fact, it is not. Just from the Russian government and the Kremlin has its priorities in the economy. They are concerned about large-scale projects focused on uncertain future (and current “cutting” budgets and financing of the army. But not retirees or those despised from the height of the Russian governmental Olympus, beings as gardeners.

Money in the Russian budget there are still. But even if the government wanted to send them to the payment of pensions, the Kremlin would not allow it. Because it is necessary, for example, to implement a program of rearmament of the Russian army up to 2020. After all, in 2019, the budget income may fall to levels of 1999, when, after the 1998 crisis in the country everything has become so difficult that the policy had to inject “young blood”. Yes, so quickly, that on New year the aging Boris Yeltsin resigned, and his seat for many years was occupied by Vladimir Putin.
