Paralympic Forest disqualified for four years for doping cocktail

The international Paralympic Committee (IPC) was disqualified for four years for anti-doping rule violation by Russian athlete Alexei Forest national champion in the shot put and javelin throwing, among persons with lesions of the musculoskeletal system.

As reported in the press release of IPC in a doping sample athletes, made March 18 at the event in Dubai, was found two banned substances – ostarine and lilandra.

The disqualification will run from 14 APR 2016 to 13 April 2020, all results of the athlete from the moment of sampling, medals, points, records and bonuses will be void.

Recall that IPC had previously removed the entire Russian team from the Paralympic games in 2016 because of problems with doping, listed in the report of the independent Commission of the world anti-doping Agency (WADA) under the leadership of Richard McLaren. The report said about 35 vanished positive samples in the Paralympic sports of the Russian Federation between 2012 and 2015.

Russian Paralympic Committee (RCC) on August 15, appealed to the court of arbitration for Sport (CAS). The hearings will be held on August 22.
