Another, 39-th international specialized exhibition “Hunting and fishing in Russia” traditionally held at the exhibition centre. The crisis had a serious impact on the entire industry, and it was a lot of fear that in 2016 the exhibition will frankly poor. Many said that the purchasing power of the population decreased compared to previous years by more than 3.5 times.
In fact, those predictions did not come true: exhibition 2016 showed that, despite all the difficulties, fishermen and hunters do not lose heart and do not abandon your wonderful Hobbies.
This year the exhibition occupied two pavilions — the 69th and 75th. In addition, there was also a street exhibition. Huge queues on the opening day, surprised even the organizers themselves, were made the appropriate conclusions, and the queue was quickly treated.
The Grand opening event was held on 24 February a large gathering of visitors. Welcoming speeches and congratulations were made by officials and honored guests. The ceremony was attended by: Valery Afanasievich Yazev, first Deputy Chairman of State Duma Committee on natural resources, environment and ecology; Nikolai Sergeyevich Valuev, Deputy of the State Duma; Ivan F. Shilov — assistant to Minister, member of the Collegium of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia, Chairman of the Russian Council of veterans of internal Affairs bodies and internal troops, Colonel-General; Valery Vasilievich Kamshilov — Supreme ataman of the Union of Cossack troops of Russia and abroad, General of the army; Alexander Porfirievich Torshin, state-Secretary, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation; Denis Vladimirovich Trofimov — Executive producer of the TV company “STREAM”, producer of TV channel “Hunting and fishing”, the sponsor of the ceremony; Yuri V. Zaslavsky — President of the Association of fishing exhibitions of the CIS countries. The opening ceremony ended with the cutting of the red ribbon.

As I wrote above, the show did not disappoint, not fewer or poorer, quite the contrary. More than 1,000 exhibitors from around the world on a total exhibition area of over 30 thousand sq. m has shown the best samples of their products and services in the field of hunting and fishing equipment and accessories, weapons, special equipment, technical and transport facilities, fishing and hunting tourism, recreation, thematic literature, Souvenirs and gifts of nature. The number of visitors exceeded 70 thousand people.
Today, it is difficult to imagine the end of winter without “Hunting and fishing in Russia”. Most hunters and anglers have made it a Mecca before the opening of the season. The exhibition received wide coverage in the press and on social networks.
“Hunting and fishing in Russia” continues to expand. Now the exhibition includes competitions. This year it’s fishing competitions on fishing on mormyshku Cup RVC “EXPODESIGN”, round tables, showprogramme and demonstrations. And of course, as before, most of the goods can be purchased. Almost from the first day of the exhibition was a place where you can not only see but also to purchase any exhibit. On some days the pavilions of VVC turned into a huge fishing and hunting is a supermarket where you can equip, to compare products from different manufacturers and get the information first hand. We have expanded the theme of the exhibition. Now, among its members manufacturers of clothes and gear for extreme sports, tourism and active recreation.

When preparing this article it became known that on 1 March 2016 after a serious illness died Pavlovich Stanislav povazhny, President of the holding company “EXPODESIGN” — the organizer of this exhibition. Stanislav Pavlovich made a great contribution to the creation and development of the exhibition “Hunting and fishing in Russia”, in the development and promotion of market hunting and fishing goods, and now we will miss him.
