Strategic bomber B-52 U.S. air force crashed shortly after takeoff from an air base on the island of GUAM, all seven crew members managed to leave the plane. Reported by the Associated Press.
The crash occurred at the airbase ” Andersen on Thursday, may 19, at 08:30 local time (01:30 GMT). Before the fall of the bomber caught fire.
B-52 deployed to GUAM from North Dakota to ensure a U.S. presence in the Pacific region, performed a training flight. On Board the plane were the crew of the 69th expeditionary bomb squadron.
The causes of the crash are still unknown.
In July 2008, the B-52 bomber fell into the Pacific ocean 40 kilometers from the island of GUAM. The bodies of two pilots have been extracted from the water coast guard immediately after the crash. The bodies of four crew members were never found.
