Obama in his birthday said he does not trust Putin

President Barack Obama said that he doesn’t trust Russian leader Vladimir Putin, namely not believe that that will help to reduce the intensity of violence in Syria. This writes the American edition of Politico, recounting Obama’s speech on Thursday, August 4, at a press conference at the Pentagon.

The article notes that Obama “harshly spoke about his Russian counterpart and warned that it expects Russia’s assistance to de-escalate the violence. Otherwise, Moscow will prove by their behavior that she is “irresponsible member”, “supporting the bloody regime”.

So, Obama said: “I’m not sure we can trust the Russian side or to Vladimir Putin, so we need to check whether we will be able to achieve a real cessation of hostilities, which would include termination of the air bombing, civilian casualties and destruction that we see perpetrated by the Assad regime,” reports the website InoPressa.

Obama will calculate that Russia will become a partner in helping to improve the situation in Syria. “There are some determining factors that we expect to cooperate with Russia not only in the field of deconfliction which we are currently involved, this means that (need) a Forbearance by the regime, which is not yet evident”, – he said.

In April, the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov declared that in the relations between Russia and NATO, there is a “celebration full of mutual distrust”. He noted that Moscow commits hostile actions of the Alliance, including a buildup of NATO military presence near Russia’s borders.

In the same month, Obama called on Russia to cooperate with the rest of the world, not to intimidate its neighbours. He also said that Putin mistakenly perceives the EU and NATO as a threat to Russian authorities.
