Названа неожиданная причина мужского бесплодияIt became known how many hours of TV a day will make a man infertile.

Scientists from the University of Copenhagen in Denmark found that watching television more than 5 hours a day can make a man infertile.

In recent days millions of men literally don’t come off on television, watching the competitions of the Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. Alas, it’s not the most useful occupation for men who expect to be fathers, as found by scientists from Denmark. They found that if men spend watching TV more than 5 hours a day, this greatly reduces the number of sperm, and as a result, the chances of conceiving a child.

The author of the study watched 1 200 healthy young men in order to find whether a sedentary lifestyle on their fertility.

The results of a study published in the journal American Journal of Epidemiology, showed that staring avidly TV men have, on average, 37 million sperm per milliliter of fluid, compared to 52 millions per milliliter in men who rarely watched TV.

In the first group also noted a reduced level of the male hormone testosterone, which is necessary for sperm production. However, scientists have discovered that the time spent at the computer does not have a similar effect. Perhaps this is due to the fact that fans of hours to watch TV much less doing physical exercise and adhere to a healthy diet, and both of these factors are extremely important for maintaining male fertility.

This study confirms the results of other work conducted in 2013 by the American scientists. They found that half an hour of exercise a week can improve the quality of sperm.
