Spanish rider Marc Marquez won the German Grand Prix and increased his lead in the standings.
Marquez started from pole position, briefly held the lead after the ninth round, the Spaniard found himself only in sixth position, behind a group of Italians headed by Rossi.
Soon, Marquez made a mistake and dropped to ninth place. It seemed that for the leader of the Honda fight for the top places has already been completed, but in favor of Marquez worked a bold tactical move – on “dry” tires, the Spaniard quickly compensated for start-up failure, for a few laps leaving behind Dovizioso, Rossi, Crutchlow, Barbera and Miller.
Marquez celebrated a double success, because in addition to its victory, the leader of the season, waited for mistakes from their main pursuers. Lorenzo and Rossi on the two scored nine points.
In the middle of the season in the asset of Marc Marquez 170 points – the Spaniard 48 points ahead of Lorenzo and Rossi behind the leader with 59 points.
