Mikhalkov: what is infringed Raikin?

Михалков: в чем ущемили Райкина?

Director Nikita Mikhalkov said that he does not understand what infringed the head “the Satyricon” Konstantin Raikin who has the ability to put those performances that he wants.

Earlier Raikin stated that “the Satyricon” is in a difficult period of development, for the first time in the history of theatre in the season came out with only one Prime Minister, and then six months the company was in simple. He requested financial assistance to the Minister of culture Vladimir Medinsky.

Later, the Minister confirmed the readiness to assist the theatre after the approval of the Federal budget in 2017. Such instructions he gave after a meeting with the Director of “Satyricon” Anatoliy Balanchinym.

Mikhalkov also commented on the speech Raikin at the international theatre forum, in which he called for the Guild solidarity in times of attacks on art, when they shut down exhibitions and performances, and expressed concern about “aggressive assaults on artistic expression”.

“Many, including myself, still do not know what captivity feels like. Closed the performance, exhibition spilled ink… And what is closed? Things covered in ink? Kostya Raikin has this passage: “Hurt, insulted religious feelings of believers”. And he says it quite lightly. And somebody dare to put the performance of defaming the prophet Mohammed? Why did Pussy Riot come to the temple of Christ the Savior, and not in the Central mosque in Mecca? Why are they here and not there to Express their desire for freedom? Yes, because there is terrible,” concluded Mikhalkov.

In the course of transmission Mikhalkov expressed his opinion about the Day of national unity.

National unity day in Russia is celebrated annually on November 4 since 2005. This holiday came to commemorate the events of 1612, when the militia led by Kozma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders. Historically this holiday is connected with the end of the time of Troubles in XVII century.

According to Mikhalkov, people must be given the opportunity of more serious and deeper understanding of what is devoted to national unity Day. “We have this celebration has not yet realized, not realized and not completely accepted. I think this requires deeper, more serious and more fun to empower people — especially young people — to understand what the holiday is dedicated. And it is dedicated to searching and finding an independent life of our state, our country. Unfortunately, today we see a huge amount of irony and double standards approach to this holiday,” — said Mikhalkov.
